I, like Cooper, have now got clothes I wear at home and a whole other wardrobe suitable for the outside world. Coop spends his time at home in stained tracksuit pants with a hoody covered in food, grass, sand, mud and whatever else is a by-product of his messy exciting life.
The other day I was ready to leave the house wearing a pretty white cotton dress. One grubby hug from my boy left me with marmite and sand remains. I now opt for comfy food-friendly attire when at home. I am not sure why this has taken me almost a year to discover!
On the news front Coop stood unassisted on the 22nd July. Samke, our lovely domestic scientist, was changing a bag on the bin with Coop as always ready to lend a helping hand (he really helps her mop and sweep). He was holding onto the bin when he lifted both hands and stood. Samke was screaming and I ran in not sure what I was looking at. After a few seconds of trying to figure out what she was shrieking about she said 'Jane, he is standing by himself'. I then went mad jumping up and down clapping. Coop plopped onto his nappy not sure if he should cry, scream or rejoice. He hasn't stood again (I am sure he is a little nervous of the reaction). Ah my little boy - nearly a year on the 3rd August. Every day is such a blessing.
This photo was taken on Saturday at the skate park on North Beach. He is beside himself watching the big kids play. Cute boy.
