Baby Sense’s FaceBook fan page has come out tops as the parenting site of choice for information hungry parents. The Baby Sense FaceBook fan page, which started in March 2009, has parents from all corners of the globe clicking onto the Baby Sense page for advice on a meridian of parenting issues from sleep, feeding, sensory issues and advice on personal baby problems.

With an overwhelming amount of information online Baby Sense provides helpful, relevant articles and personal one on one advice from the experts in the Baby Sense team on their FaceBook Fan Page. The success of the Baby Sense FaceBook Fan Page demonstrates an innovative way of how South African companies are using social media platforms to interact with their fans on a daily basis across the globe.

Occupational therapist, Megan Faure co-authored the bestselling books Baby Sense in 2002 and Sleep Sense in 2007 and quickly became the trusted brand of parenting for children with sleep and feeding problems.  The Baby Sense brand was established in 2005. The aim of the brand is to provide quality calming, sleeping and nurturing baby care products and services for parents of babies, based on the sensory principles outlined in the Sense series of books. Today Baby Sense is an international company which produces innovative baby products and is a leading information portal for advice-seeking parents.

“Winning an international award for our Facebook page was a wonderful surprise. The reality is that our Baby Sense moms make the Facebook community what it is – they chat and support each other daily. It is awesome to watch the way they support each other” says Meg of their success. Megan specializes in sensory integration and Neuro-developmental therapy in children and credits insight, innovation and creative flair as the secrets behind the success of the Baby Sense brand.

In 2011 the brand will continue to grow from strength to strength with the release of a fourth book by Meg in May – The Sensory Baby and is set to become a household name in the US when Baby Sense products will become available.
